My students Read the Room every week! They love it, and it gives me a chance to individually assess mastery of Phonics skills. Print, laminate, and cut the word cards. Then print the recording sheet, and place the word cards throughout the room, and you are ready to begin. This activity gets children up and moving as they search the classroom for fruity clues containing Long u words (-ui, -ue, -u_e). Once located, the words are sorted and written on the recording sheet. Students then read their words to the teacher.
Directions for Use and Common Core Standards are included.
I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you for your purchase and feedback! I appreciate it!

Am reworking this to show only ui words. Have more ue and ew exercises, but none this nice with ui and the appropriate fruit theme. Wish there had been more ui words to start with, but can cut and paste for my ESL learners.
So glad you like it! Thank you for your purchase and feedback! I appreciate it!

I've purchased several activities like this one where the items are set about the room and the students find them, read them and record them in the correct place on the worksheet - BUT your product is so exciting with the beautiful fruits! We are trying to push more healthy foods and many kiddos, even those in wealthy neighborhoods, are not eating enough fruits and veggies. So, I think I'll have some real samples on the days this word work activity is out for the firsties to try! What fun you are making my class! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments!! I am very glad you are using the product AND like it! What a creative way to use with healthy foods!! Thank you for sharing! Let me know if you have other products you would like to see!
