These comprehension activities require students to answer questions using a written response after reading each chapter. They go to the book Funny Frank by Dick King Smith. The comprehension questions cover many comprehension strategies including inferring, summarizing, retelling, questioning, visualizing and activating schema. Students will also practice, fact and opinion, true or false, and sequencing. This packet is great to use within a guided reading group or literature circle!
Wow! I love this comprehension packet. You have hit on so many different reading comprehension strategies (sequencing, making connections, fact/opinion, inferring, and "right there questions"). The fun graphics will definitely hold the reader's attention. Thanks for this great resource!

What a wonderful novel unit, it includes a lot of basic standards such as cause and effect, predicting and inferencess. Uses a lot of graphic organizers and nonligustical type activities. Nicely done!
