There are so many fun versions of the story available. I spend 1-2 weeks each December using a gingerbread theme to keep things academic yet "festive."

1 individual venn diagram to compare two books
3 planning pages for writing a Gingerbread Man inspired book

Over the years I have worked my way up from Preschool to Kindergarten to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I've been in third grade for 6 years and simply adore teaching this age. My experiences have included inner-city and neighborhood schools in the suburbs. I've loved both for different reasons.
