Identifying similarities and differences is a strategy that students need to be successful. By practicing with this open-ended game that allows divergent thinking, you are preparing your students with this important skill. Using a fun aliens theme, students will help aliens learn how items are the same and different. Many answers are possible so students will experience a high level of success. The ideas compared are easier to find similarities than in Sea Legs, but vocabulary level is still second-third grade level. I field-tested this with my seven-year old over the summer. Some of the words are easy, sometimes it is a little harder. There are so many possibilities so it's hard to be wrong.
