This is a guide and assignment on the measuring an author's philosophical stance on their subject.
It is not an easy assignment and would be a good supplemental lesson for fairly advanced students--juniors or seniors.
The guide explains what is meant by philosophical stance and then asks students to identify and infer the stance of the author the class is currently reading.
