Color coded Genre Cards with definitions
Print, laminate, and cut up.
These cards can be used in multiple ways.
As tags/signs for your library baskets/shelves,
as a bulletin board, or as a game where you
review the definitions with the students and ask them to provide
examples of books to match the genre and/or illustrate it.
Can also be used during guided reading.
Students can also identify the genres by props, use the cards to play a game of Charades, or Pictionary.

Extensive definitions but on my black and white printer they all look the same. A pic or visual may have been nice.
I thought there would be some supporting activities, not just definitions.
