I LOVE THESE. The images and writing are something the kids can really relate to. I have many of these books featured in my classroom library so it provides an immediate connection to the genre and provides a hidden teachable moment! THANKS!

These will be a great resource in my classroom. After each read-aloud I do I ask students to tell me which genre it belongs to. Having these clear and easy to read posters on the bulletin board will certainly help students identify the genre correctly. Then they will be ready to use them in their independent reading. Thank you!

Kids loved that current kids' lit was clearly represented (if one can call Miley Cyrus' stuff lit. Wish that Myth, Legend, and Fable were included (I think that is what I noticed--the set is at school and can't double-check.)

I love that there are visual examples of text students can attach to the genre to better understand what each means. Thank you, I look forward to using them with the 4th graders!

I love these! Can't say enough about how wonderful and USEFUL these are for my third graders as they learn what a "genre" is and the differences bt all of them! I have posted them on each tub in my classroom library and have revamped my entire library by these genres. Thanks!

I love the examples you provided for each genre. These examples are all books the children have seen in our library.

I just bought the genre posters for my class and love them. Just wondering if you could do one thing. The science fiction poster has The Secrets of Droon and Dragon Slayers Academy. I always refer to these as fantasy series in my classroom. Could you change the graphic to maybe The Kingdom Keepers and The Hunger Games along with the Time Warp Trio? I would REALLY appreciate it. Can't wait to print on photo paper and hang in my classroom.
