This activity is the perfect way to complete any genre study. It includes all of the resources that you will need to send your students on a scavenger hunt that will have them identifying 16 genres along the way. Included in this unit are 17 clues/poems that describe 16 common genres, clue labels, student recording sheet, and answer key. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

As I was cutting apart the clues last night, I noticed a couple errors. I was wondering if you could send me the corrected clues, please. On clue 12, "there memory" should be "their memory" and clue 4 needs an apostrophe on "lets" for "let's be clear." Sorry to be nitpicky, just want to show correct grammar to my students. Thank you! The product is vey cute and a great idea and way to review.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my short teaching career, I have never stayed in one place too long! :) I've been teaching for six years - 4 years in 1st grade,1 year in 2nd, and have now moved on to 3rd grade just this year. Looping has presented many challenges, but I have enjoyed all of the wonderful experiences that this model of teaching can offer. I adore my job and am always looking for ways to improve my instruction in the classroom. I have quickly learned that when you make learning magical, that is when it truly sticks for the "long haul". I enjoy creating resources that bring learning to life in my classroom, and I am so excited to be able to offer a little piece of that to you here on TPT. Happy Teaching! :)
