This is a PowerPoint presentation, including 28 slides. Sixteen of the slides are images of places in the Eastern Hemisphere, each of which is labeled. The warm-up of PowerPoint is a NY state Regent test question, the presentation then moves into a little about the Eastern Hemisphere's geography, followed by a note-taking chart, then images.
The lesson can either be done in two ways.
As a whole class activity have the students observe the images and make observations and inferences about what life might have been like there. Alternately, print the images and having the students look at the images individually or in small groups.
