"Get Graphing" is a collection of graphing resources intended to integrate math into core subject areas such as social studies, science and health education. By using the activities included in this Get Graphing! package, teachers can integrate multiple subject areas and target various curricular standards/outcomes within one lesson.
This "Get Graphing: Smoking and Its Effects!" resource focuses on the topic of smoking and its risks while teaching and reinforcing basic graphing skills.
Activities are included for five types of graphs and charts. For each type, students will practice reading a graph and then create their own graph using the information provided.
These activities can be used to support or teach relevant standards/outcomes in health education while integrating a math component.
