This packet includes writing and drawing activities to help keep your students engaged during the last few weeks of school. Students will be able to practice writing (and some drawing) by doing practical activities that include things like making a summer reading list, writing about their favorite place to visit in the summer and making a book about ways to beat the heat. The activities in this packet are appropriate for K, 1st and 2nd grade students. This is a great way to keep them writing (and busy) until the very last day of school!

My experience includes teaching in the classroom, working as a literacy intervention specialist and as a speech-language pathologist. I have taught Young 5's (pre-K), Kindergarten and 1st grade. I've also worked with at risk readers in grades K - 2. In addition to working in an elementary school setting, I have taught classes at the university level as well.
