If you teach kindergarten or first grade you know how important quick decoding skills are to students' success (and benchmarks) on the DIBELs Nonsense Word Fluency measure.
This activity is also appropriate for second or even third grade teachers who work with students who require remediation in their decoding skills.
This fun and engaging game is great for partners, small groups, and even whole groups.
"Get Your Peanuts Here!" includes 78 nonsense word "peanut" cards and 36 "elephant" cards. Students try to collect as many "peanuts" as they can before the "elephant" eats them.
I'm so happy to hear that. I know my firsties never get tired of playing these NWF games!

What a fun way to practice the non sense words! I purchased the elephant garbage can from Target's Dollar spot and it works perfectly with this activity. Thanks for sharing your talents!
I really love your games, Tanya. I teach 3rd grade and it becomes difficult to engage kiddos that are behind their peers, but these games really do the trick :)
