Gingerbread Catch that Cookie Free Literacy and Math Activity

This is a fun center activity that incorporates both literacy and math. Kids spin the word spinner, read the word and then use magnifying glasses to find the hidden cookie that matches the word they read. My kids love this game! I have a homemade spinning wheel with whiteboard spaces and I just wrote the words on the spinning wheel. My kids are 3.5 and 5. They were picking up the words so quickly and recognizing what they look like and sound like. A great game to introduce children to sight words. Thank so much!

I too love this activity - Is there anyway that you could make this product so that the words we are working on could be used? I teach 1st grade and have many children who are struggling with the high frequency words we are working on and this game would be a great motivator. I love all the things that you post and am a faithful follower. Thank you!
