Get ready! Get set,for the easiest math centers you have ever laid your eyes on! As a teacher, I try very hard to create meaningful centers that require my students to apply new skills all while participating in fun and engaging activities. Independent centers are a great way to see a student's application of skills. Centers are GREAT...the preparation, however can take hours and hours!
If you love the thought of engaging math centers, but you do not love the thought of all of the preparation, Gobble It Up Math Centers are just for you! This unit includes 9 math centers that will have your students practicing basic skills such as addition, subtraction, place value and much more! The best part...the only preparation needed - cut out your student's number cards (which could technically be cut by the students).
Directions for each activity are located on the response sheets. During each activity, the students will be using their number cards to create and manipulate numbers. This means that the level of difficulty all depends on the student. They can create one, two, three or four digit numbers. They can also complete the activities as many times as they want/need because each time they will be creating and manipulating new numbers. Students can work in partners or independently to complete their centers. You can have 1-2 centers per week or introduce them all and allow students to choose which center they complete each day. These centers can be a great addition to any classroom for the month of November!

I teach students of significant special needs at a High School level. Most have been working on basic math skills all of their school years. These centers have been very motivating and exciting for the students to use. It is nice to be able to provide familiar materials, not yet mastered in a new way. Thanks!!!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
During my short teaching career, I have never stayed in one place too long! :) I've been teaching for six years - 4 years in 1st grade,1 year in 2nd, and have now moved on to 3rd grade just this year. Looping has presented many challenges, but I have enjoyed all of the wonderful experiences that this model of teaching can offer. I adore my job and am always looking for ways to improve my instruction in the classroom. I have quickly learned that when you make learning magical, that is when it truly sticks for the "long haul". I enjoy creating resources that bring learning to life in my classroom, and I am so excited to be able to offer a little piece of that to you here on TPT. Happy Teaching! :)
