This graphic organizer was made after out school got bit by the "Max Thompson" bug. We are working hard to implement Learning Focused Strategies. Research shows that students who learn with graphic organizers are better prepared for assessment. My students did better on their test than in years past. I had the students put the information on a Frayer diagram themselves. This way they had ownership of the organizer and were more interested in it.

I am in my sixth year of teaching. My certification is in Math grades 7-12. I began teaching in an IB/Magnet High School in Rochester, NY where I taught Precalculus, Computer Programming, and Math A. After 2 successful years, my family moved to Florida where we could enjoy the sunshine year round. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching in a suburban High School in Florida. In addition to teaching Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus AB, I co-chair the math department. I am currently working on my National Board Certification.
