This is a double-period lesson on graphing a parabola from a quadratic function using a table of values. (It can also be split into two class periods.) This lesson explores the b-value of the Quadratic function in more depth.

This lesson plan includes two Powerpoint presentations showing patterns in parabolas and how the values of a quadratic function affect the graph of the parabola.

This lesson includes an opening activity, minilesson and examples with guided steps through the process, class activities and a worksheet for home work.

The class activities include five different activities for a double-period math class. (You can cut the last two activities for single-period classes.) Answer keys included.

Common Core standards included on cover page for High School Algebra and High School Functions.
