Gray wolves are fascinating and beautiful creatures. This packet introduces students to the gray wolves of Yellowstone National Park, asking students to complete guided Internet research leading to their understanding of the reintroduction program. A second component has students compiling interesting information about wolf behavior, biodiversity, the importance of top predators to an ecosystem, and creating a wolf food web.
This product would be appropriate within a unit on biodiversity, food webs, reintroducing native species, ecology, or habitats, and requires the use of computers. It would be appropriate for students to work alone or in pairs.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have logged twenty-eight wonderful years in public education teaching various science subjects from grades 6 through 12. I currently teach at an alternative school for at-risk youth and teen moms. It's a great place to teach - classes are small and we can really get to know our students. I get to be a facilitator and do a lot of up-close and personal teaching. This is why I became a teacher!
