Your students will call this review activity Battleship because its similar to the popular game. Instead of ships they will be trying to uncover hidden points but they must first answer a question correctly to get to select a box. This review activity will hold your students attention as they try to answer correctly to improve their chance of finding the most hidden points. You can add as many as one hundred multiple choice or true/false questions and decide how many to show each round and how long each should be displayed. This program works in Excel 97 or higher and requires that security levels be set to allow macros.
It is probably a problem with the security setting on your PC. If running Office 2007 there should be a button near the top of the scren when you open the file labeled Options. Click it, then select "enable this content" If using Office 2003, open Excel, then select Tool, Options, Security, Macro Security, and set the level to Medium. Then open the file. It should give a screen that warns about macros. Select "enable macros." I'm writing this from memory because I don't have Office 2003 available, but you should be able to work your way through the screens. If still a problem, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Feedback that you succeeded would also be welcome. Be glad to offer advice on administering the game if needed.
