This is such a cute activity to do for Groundhog's Day. If the groundhog has matching beginning sounds sort him onto the board with the same beginning sounds. If not, place him on the other board. I have made enough groundhogs for each letter of the alphabet to have a matching sound and each letter not to have a matching sound. There are multiple assessment sheets to best fit the needs of your students.
Yeah we loved this game. We all made great jumps in our Dibles First Sound Fluency on our Progress Monitoring after playing this game. Even long after Groundhog Day the kids still want to play this game!

This was a great intervention activity for some of my Pre-K students!
It was great I made a few changes to help my more struggling students. I just used the beginning sounds that were the same so they could place them by the correct letter they started with.

Very cute idea! LOVE the graphics and the kids will love sorting them out!! I also love that you included a recording sheet - it makes them accountable then!!
This is so cute! How wonderful to find this at assesment time, could not have planned this any better. My kids are enjoying the material. Thanks for making my job a little easier.
