This file contains 5 student practice pages for addition problems with sums to 10 with a Groundhog Day theme.
At the bottom of each page, there are 10 groundhogs, which students can use to help them model these addition problems. You can allow students to cut out the groundhogs for hands-on practice, or you could have students use the groundhogs as a number line. There is room in the box for each problem for students to draw a picture showing their work.
These pages could be used for morning work, homework, or regular classwork. This activity would also make a great math center or math station.

Sure it is a great reinforcement for math, but the reason I LOVE it, is I LOVE Groundhog Day and there are hardly any ideas out there for it. I celebrate it BIG time in my class and it is perfect for math for that day!
