Just in time for Ground Hog Day, here's a cute and simple word family activity to practice the __og family of short o words.
Children cut apart the letters at the bottom of the page and place 1 letter at a time in the box in front of the __og word segment, then read each word; OR make a stack of the beginning consonants after cutting them apart and staple over the box to create a flip activity.
Great for morning work or as a center activity!
Reproduce on regular copy paper or on card stock for a more durable product.
NOTE: Copying the letter tiles on card stock to stack and staple is not recommended unless a heavy duty stapler is available.

Terry Palmieri specializes in the development and implementation of standard-based educational math and literacy activities for students in K - 2nd grade.
