This is a wonderful activity to get your class excited about reading by watching their flower/plant grow! For every 40 pages they read, they get to put that plant part on their page. When they have read 240 pages, they have completed their flower! There are pictures to show how this works as well as everything you need to create your own plant reading incentive! This can be combined with a plant unit or to start or end the year!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Subject Area:

This is my 13th year teaching. Wow, where did the time go? I have taught 7 years in first grade and I am currently on my 6th year in second grade. Which do I like better you ask? I have reasons to love them both! I think first grade made me the teacher I am today. My heart is in second though. I am lucky to work in a wonderful school with wonderful students!
