PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I find the hardest part about Guided Reading is figuring out how to meet with all of your groups, especially since the number of groups may change back and forth throughout the year. Here are 5 different ways to schedule your groups depending on the number of groups and the number of time slots.

Product Questions & Answers

On  October 22, 2013Brandy Ferguson (TpT Seller) asked:
Do you have more information on how you schedule your reading groups? I was looking at the 6 groups w/ 4 slots & I was a little confused. I assume these are set up like centers. How do they rotate? On Monday (for example), where would groups 1 & 2 go/start? Do you have an additional center? I'm a little confused on how they would rotate in to centers. I've stared at this chart & scrambled my brain....AND I know the answer is something simple.

On  October 22, 2013Tessa Maguire answered:
That chart I use just for scheduling the time with me. So, what's shown is the time with me. Depending on if you do centers, Daily 5, or something else determines how you would fill the other slots. I plan on doing a blog post soon on my rotations, but I know not everyone can follow the same format. With 4 slots you can do yourself, journal, word work, and computer for example. If they are not with you at all one day, you could add in an additional center like partner reading for example. I hope this helps. Feel free to email me if I still didn't make sense. talesfromoutsidetheclassroom@gmail.com
