I Love Guided Reading!
Every day I take time to listen to each of my students read. It is the most important part of my school day!
Their parents in turn listen to them every evening. We then make comments to each other regarding how the student did and what they need to practice.
There is a spot on the bottom of the page to writie any words that the student needs to pracitce. This communication and daily contact with both parents and student are the foundation of my good relationship with both, and to what I credit the amazing readers that leave my classroom!
My students love the one on one attention and they love to read!!! Happy reading!

I love being a teacher! I have 17 years of teaching experience. I have taught classroom k-8, and I have homeschooled my own boys in k-5. I am currently teaching first grade, my personal favorite! I love finding enjoyable ways to successfully teach a lesson. I live for light bulb moments and hugs!
