This is an overview of HIV/AIDS along with the impact it has had on Africa in particular. This is VERY visual with lots of graphs, charts, and photographs. The powerpoint is 39 slides long, and concludes with ways people are helping solve the problem.

I used this for my 7th graders when we were studying Africa in social studies. It went well with their study of the immune system in science, along with what they were learning in their Health/PE classes... and thus integrated quite nicely. This powerpoint gave them a very good overview of what AIDS is along with how it is impacting Africa. They LOVED all the pictures and had lots of great questions! This powerpoint is easily adapted to fit students well into high school, but is probably not intended for elementary school age. I'm sure your students will love it too!
