This is a great Halloween activity! This can be used as a whole class activity or a fun assessment. This document consists of two pages. The first page is an entertaining story about three kids trick-or-treating adventure. In the story are 10 difficult words that students will need to use context clues to understand. The second page lists the 10 words and requires students to identify the correct meaning for each word. The ten words are: juveniles, enthusiasm, terrifying, shrieked, shattered, horrifying, quivering, massive, feline, and flabbergasted. Makes for a fun and educational activity.

This practice was perfect for our context clues unit. You did a wonderful job of providing just enough clues to help my students figure out the unknown words.
