Halloween Costume Alphabet and Activities Unit - Varied for ages prek to 2nd

This 37 page unit has materials which can be used for multiple ages from prek through second grade. The students will enjoy the fun colorful original drawings of kids in costumes – 26 pictures each representing a letter of the alphabet. Younger students will enjoy learning the alphabet, beginning letters, and abc order. Older students can concentrate on reading, writing, and spelling words.
The download consists of the following:
1 Title page
1 page of different ways to use all of the materials – there is a list of lots of ways you can do with your students using the cards and materials provided in this download.
7 pages of the 26 colorful cards of fun original drawings of kids in costumes (4 per page) to be used for various activities listed on the activities page.
13 pages of 52 cards (26 with the upper and lower case letters and 26 with the “letter is for” (ie A is for Angel)
5 pages of a black and white activity where the students count the number of letters in each costume word and sort.
1 page answer sheet of the activity above
1 page b&w worksheet where the students write the words in ABC order
1 page b&w worksheet where the students fill in the missing letters in the costume words
1 page answer sheet for the missing letter ws
1 page b&w rhyming worksheet
1 page answer sheet for the rhyming ws
1 page b&w unscramble the costume words worksheet

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a School Social Worker for a total of eleven years. I currently work in a small district in Illinois in two schools which include preK through 5th grade. As I am the only social worker in my two schools (and there is no counselor), I provide counseling and social skills training to all students who need it. I also provide social skills classroom groups for all classes from preK to 5th grade.
