This Halloween Thematic book includes 20 thematic vocabulary words in each of the following activities:

Note: some of these activities/games can be used in your ESL center or as part of an ESL mini-lesson. Please do not confuse your students, use an activity/game for one language only. You can store the activities that will be used in Spanish in a Red Tub. You can store the activities that will be used in English (in a separate center) in a BLUE Tub to distinguish the language used. Here are several center activities. I hope you like them.

1) Thematic Word Bank Cards that can also be used in your pocket chart as part of a shared reading activity,

2) Matching upper to lowercase alphabet letters which can also be used to sequence the alphabet in correct order or use to sort classmates names in a pocket chart according to initial letter

3)Initial Sound Game can be used as a clothespin activity where students clip the clothespin on the corresponding beginning sound. AS A BONUS: I snuck in the initial sounds in English as well in case you prefer to use this activity as part of your ESL center :)

4)Clap and count the syllables game. Students clip a clothespin on the corresponding number of syllables in the word. BONUS: this can also be used as an ESL activity if you introduce these words in English.

5)Letter tile cards. Use in different ways: students use dry-erase marker to write in the word by sounding it out, students can use small magnetic or foam letters to fill in the word, students can use letter tiles to make the word, teacher can make copies of the cards and students can stretch the word and write in each sound in a different color.

6) Emergent Reader: ?Quien dice buu?
Students use the picture cues and repetetive sentences to read this
entertaining book. Sight words used are : el, dice, no, si

7)Concentration Game: students match picture card to word card

8)Web Graphic Organizer: Halloween

If sold separately, this item would be at least $24
