This 3 activity set gives you hands-on ways to have your students practice balancing equations. Students will work with 3 types of models to physically see equations being balanced. Stoichiometry can be a very abstract topic. These activities help to make it much more concrete! This would work well in a chemistry, physical science or general science classroom.

The first two activities are with standard supplies found at common stores, but the third activity uses molecular models. Please be advised!

The kids loved using the M&Ms. For those kids who weren't getting it just on the board alone, this was great. I have yet to try the beads, but I think it will help for a few who are still struggling. Thanks!
