The following are the centers and a brief description:
Playing With Place Value- counting and manipulating tens and ones
Dicey Equations-distinguishing whether or not easy equations are balanced across an equal sign.
Spinning Bears-creating and interpreting data in a graph with bear counters.
Button Up-creating and interpreting data in a graph with colors and buttons.
Who is Missing- a concrete way for your students to understand missing addend.
Matching Fractions-**this center is not common core**. I teach in Texas and this is very important for our upcoming assessments. It is an easy beginning way to understand fractions.
Measure Up- Measuring and comparing lengths around the classroom.
Build It-shapes and geometry. Students manipulate pattern blocks to create more shapes.
Spin and Count On-counting on and writing from the ones to the teens and beyond.

The what's missing activity is missing a number sentence on the recording sheet. The place value match up has one card that is missing a ones block, so it doesn't match the number card.

Today my students were doing the "playing with place value" game, matching the numbers to the pictures of tens and ones. They ended up with two cards that did not match - the picture showed 34 and the numeral card was 35. (at least that's what I am remembering from this morning.) Can you check into it? Thanks!
