Here's a Bingo type game with dice to practice reading words with long vowels. It has an ice hockey theme. The roll of the dice determines which vowel to cover. Sometimes there's a decision to make, so the children get to use some strategic thinking.
This game addresses Common Core Standards: 1.RFS.3 and 2.RFS.3 - Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
There are nine game boards, enough to play with a whole reading group.
