PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NOTE: This product was updated on 1/24/14 with 15 new fonts.

TERMS OF USE
COMMERCIAL SINGLE USER LICENSE – ALL HELLO FONTS
effective 10-31-2012 through infinity

**This font bundle was last updated on January 24, 2014. 15 fonts were added for a total of 175 fonts in the download. Either download just the 1-24-2014 batch (if you have all the other fonts already) or download them all in one click by selecting the All Fonts folder.**

Thank you for purchasing my Single User Commercial License to use all Hello Fonts in any of your commercial (or for profit) products on Teachers Pay Teachers or Teacher's Notebook (if you have an Etsy store, or are a graphic designer or advertising company, please purchase multiple licenses at check-out for the number of designer and/or artists using the fonts. For example, if there will be 5 designers using the fonts, please purchase 5 licenses, etc.) This license is a one time fee that allows one designer to use Hello fonts--past, present (175 fonts as of 1-24-2014)and all future Hello fonts, forever, for your lifetime. One you purchase it, you will never have to renew or rebuy the rights to use the license. Choosing to give credit within your product is up to you—but it is not required. (A license image is included if you choose to give credit and want to use the image). I update this font bundle frequently.

The font files themselves (175 of them) are actually included in this download.

A preview and font sample of all 175 Hello fonts created so far can be seen by clicking the PREVIEW button above. (The 15 most recent fonts are RED).

If you are not sure how to install fonts to your computer (Fonts folder is in the Control Panel on a PC and in the Font Book in Applications on a Mac) or visit the link below.

Font Installation Tutorials

Also, if you have already purchased this product, redownload it from your My Purchases button and find the 1-24-2014 bundle of 15 new fonts. Download in one copy/paste batch.

A Note to All Finicky Computers: If you are having any installation trouble, create a New folder on your desktop, copy the fonts from the download folder to the New folder, and then copy and paste them from the desktop folder to your computer Fonts folder.

Thank You!

It never occurred to me to buy a bunch of font, but when I got your message about it being on sale, I figured why not. I've spent the last half hour searching ALL of the fonts and installing them. I love the variety and the fact that when I am searching for a font to use in a file, they all start with the word "hello" so they are easy to find. I was excited to go back and see that you had added January's new font. Thank you so much. I really love these.
On  February 1, 2014Hello Literacy answered:
Well Teresa, this is excellent! I'm so grateful that you decided to make the purchase, and I'm glad my note helped. It's always good to get feedback on this because I'm never sure if people read those messages. So, thank *you*!

Wow! There is a font for everything I need here! I found very basic print for documents for my struggling readers, cutesy fonts for product covers, and some I just want to use for my kids' birthday invitations and other fun things! I spent a LONG time going through this bundle and installing the fonts that struck my fancy. This is an amazing package for the money! Thanks so much!

If you are bored with seeing the same old fonts over and over again and are looking for fonts to jazz up your work, then look no further!! This package is AWESOME!! There are so many different fonts you can’t possibly get bored with them; there are tracing fonts, hollow fonts for kids to colour in, flower fonts and all sorts of fonts that you haven’t even dreamed of yet!! That is weird. You've probably restarted your computer. Another thing that works for me is to create a folder on my desktop, copy the fonts into there, and then copy and paste them from there into my Fonts folder. For some reason this works. Oh, and one more thing. If the document in Powerpoint is open and you install the fonts, you have to close Powerpoint and reopen it again for the fonts to appear.

Let me know if one of those works!

Hi Jen

I am having an article published in the ALEA journal, Literacy Learning: the Middle Years (Australian Literacy Educators' Association) and they want to include an image of resource in their article. I have used your one of your fonts in my resource and I am unsure of whether I need your permission for the journal articles to include a photograph of the resource to support my journal article?
I purchased the commercial license above and the publishers are wanting to include a photograph of my resource in the article.
I would appreciate your advice.

Hi Jen. I thought I already submitted this question but can't find it on here, so I guess I didn't. Early in the year last year I won a commercial license from you in one of your giveaways. I saw your note that your commercial license will be going up in a couple of days. I was wondering how that will work for me, since I can't just go to TPT and just download the updates. I would honestly love to do just that. I don't know if there's anyway that it could be done so that I can just download the updates from TPT as you add new fonts? I am currently not able to get all your new fonts as you add them.

Thanks for your help with this.

Hi Jen! I have a quick question for ya... I downloaded a handful of your Hello fonts back in the day when they were free on your blog. I have since made products for my TpT using those fonts. Actually, I pretty much only use your fonts! :) I'm wondering if I need to purchase the license to continue selling these items. I apologize if I should have done this sooner. When I originally downloaded them, it said just to give you credit in whatever we used them for (which I did). So, let me know if I need to update and get with the times, hehehe!

On  January 15, 2014Hello Literacy answered:
Rebecca, you're sweet to ask. My answer to you is, it's your call. I'm know for me, and this is just me, it makes *me* feel better to always purchase a license (if there is an option to purchase one)...I then have no quams using it, no guilt or whatever, I can sleep at night. ;-) So, with that said, you can keep your products as is, under the TOU that existed when you created the products back then, or you get a license "just to be on the safe side" if it makes you feel better. If you made anything after the new Terms (10/31/2012) and use Hello fonts, 155 (soon to be 170) fonts in your current products, then I would ask you to purchase a license for those products and any future products you make and sell using Hello fonts. If you decide to purchase it, get it before 1/24/14 when the price of it goes up to $40.
Thanks for checking, and for your honesty! You're awesome!

Hi! I do not have a fancy font making program and not even sure what all is included for the french alphabet. I could do a little research, but right now, I'm not sure what this would all entail. Hello! I am very interested in purchasing your commercial use font package. As a private music teacher I've created many teaching tools for my students. I've considered converting some of those tools to distribute commercially on my own website. I just want to be absolutely certain that it's okay for me to use your fonts commercially--they are wonderful and the price of your commercial license almost seems too good to be true. Thank you so much!
Teachers Pay Teachers
On  January 10, 2014Hello Literacy answered:
Yes. Well, "too good to be true" is sweet but true, but that is one reason I am raising the price. When I started making fonts two years ago, I only had 30 fonts AND I create them with teachers as my end-users in mind. Some other font designers have very expensive commercial license fees because they market their fonts for large commercial use, like cereal and chip companies, greeting card companies and book publishers. So, my little 'ol fonts are small potatoes in the big font picture. However, I have gotten some pretty awesome feedback from some top sellers that use my fonts that $40 is still fair and a needed change. SO, with all that said, yes, with the license you are free to make and create things using my fonts within the text and content of your documents that you sell for profit...on TpT, Teacher's Notebook, Etsy or your own website. You cannot sell my fonts AS IS or include them as .ttf files in your own products, they must be embedded in your work.

Thanks!

I am thinking that if people download my product and their printer or copier is light on toner, it may look like I didn't add punctuation at all. Heaven forbid! I could probably change fonts, but when I try out others, I ALWAYS go back to Doodle Print. So would you be willing to darken those for me? Hi!

Without thinking too much about it, I tried to use the fonts for my online teaching portfolio because they are just so cute. Then I realized they don't show up on computers that are not my own. Now I guess I have two questions for you. I'm not selling anything but is this considered commercial use? Also, if I bought the license instead would they be able to show up on my website?

Regardless, LOVE your fonts. I've showed a bunch of teachers at my school where to find them. :) Thanks so much!

Great, thanks for the feedback and congratulations on completing your student teaching and your portfolio. You are welcome to use my fonts in your portfolio, I would not consider that commercial use. The font issue you are having is common with any files or documents, where if the end-user of the files or documents does not have the same fonts as you do, this issue occurs. You can convert your files and documents to pdf to "preserve" the document the way you intended it to look. And without knowing the platform of your portfolio, it's hard to say how to make them work there. I appreciate you sharing my font site and wish I could help you better. Good luck!

Hi Haley! Technically, all Hello fonts are free. It's the use of them that decides what gets a license and what does not. For me, there are two types of use, Personal and Non-Commercial Use OR Commercial Use. With that said, what exactly are you asking my permission for? I'm sorry. Are you using the Hello font in one of your "for sale" products and/or are you including the font file (.ttf) in the product download? I am brand new to selling at TpT, so this may be a newbie question, but when I upload a project with Hello fonts to TpT, is there any process there that prevents defaults? My experiments with emailing to a different printer are not working so far. One of my projects is editable, so I think that's an issue, but the other was a powerpoint pdf, so the 995 should have worked. I've stumped them at my training sessions for my laptop. Hi! I'm sorry you're having issues. Hello fonts or any other specialty fonts (like the free ones at www.kevinandamanda.com) don't come through unless the person opening the file has the font too, which is usually not the case, so you have to save the files as .pdf files. If you're using Powerpoint, you don't need pdf995, because under the "Save As" option under File (or the round Windows home button) select "PDF". I hope this helps. If it doesn't email me and I'll give you my cell number to call me, okay? :-) Jen

I don't want my buyers from TpT not to have the same cute fonts either just because their computer doesn't support those fonts. Shouldn't a pdf file open as is??? I do know what you're talking about and this occasionally happens to me too, even without my fonts, just other cute fonts. Pub can be funny with this, that's why I create 90% of my TpT files in ppt. BUT, what I have found that helps is to use a different pdf driver than the built in one in pub. Here's what you can do. Go to www.pdf995.com, Downloads, download both the Pdf995 Printer Driver AND the Free Converter...the first two download options on the right. Follow those two download steps. Restart your computer, then when saving your documents as pdf files, go to File, Print and select pdf 995 as the option....the program uses the printer driver so convert so don't worry that you seem to be in Print mode, it won't print, just save. I hope this helps, but it's not my fonts that are the issue, it's pub and pdf. Also make sure you have the lastest version of Adobe Reader (google it) when opening pdf files. ~Jen

I wanted a way to download your fonts to include in my lessons-I teach 7th grade ELA, but after visiting your blog, it appears that I should have downloaded them from your blog's link. I shouldn't have purchased a commercial use lincense to you these fonts in PowerPoints and handouts, right? I wish I would have visited your blod before I made this purchase-I would have purchased your Common Core RTI workbook and other reading/writing/critical thinking packets-they are amazing!!!!!!

Is there anything I can do to return the commercial use lincense and get a refund so that I may purchase your packets instead?

I hope I don't come across as ungrateful-trust me, I can't believe how much I've lucked out with your creations! But you know teachers, we're poor, and we have to put our money where it counts!

I hope you can help. Regardless, i love your fonts...well all of your creations! Thanks!

I looked and the sampler and love them. Do they all have a shadow or is that just for the sampler? Thanks. Ruth Geitgey

Good point. I just added the shadow effect for the sampler, to make them "pop"...they don't come like that. Is that confusing? Should I remove it?

Does this new set of terms only apply only to new users of your fonts, or do you now require teachers that used them under the 'free' terms now purchase this additional license?
Kind regards

Hi Mel!
The new terms apply to all hello font users, new and old. If a seller has used a hello font or several different hello fonts in any commercial products before 10-32-2012, purchasing a license is totally up to the font user. The new terms are regardless of when the fonts were made (they were all made in 2012) allow an old hello font user to continue using hello fonts in commercial products made from 10-31-2012 forward.
