Henry the Hexagon is an original story that will help students become interested in polygons and their attributes. Students will create their own shapes while you read the story aloud to them (toothpicks, straws, or another straight manipulative is needed, six per student). Then the class can create their own book about Henry the Hexagon using the storybook pages that are included. Integrate literacy and art into your geometry unit!
