This unit contains activities for a fun filled time while learning about chicks and having some Easter fun. There is a chick Dolch Word board game complete with the board, directions, and Dolch Word cards in full color. A compound word activity that would be great for a learning center with directions, full color activity and a recording sheet. The contraction game has full colored eggs and Easter baskets that make it very appealing and it also has a recording sheet. A bunny word sort with full color word cards and a recording sheet help students with the Long e and short e sounds. The math activities include a subtraction and addition activity with full directions for using jelly beans as counters. A nonfiction and a fiction lesson plan accompany this unit complete with CCSS for 2nd grade, but it could also be used for Kindergarten and First grade. The unit also has a fun-filled chick craft using a tracing of your students hands and a giant egg pattern. Directions are included.
