This is a project I assign towards the end of the school year as a review and an opportunity for students to both be creative and practice writing and citation skills. It is called, "The ABCs of English". I actually got it from a colleague that is a science teacher. I adapted it for English, and included requirements that are geared towards a high school English class. It forces students to practice what they have learned in online research, citations, and MLA formatting; it also makes the students go back and review notes over the course of the school year. I teach 11th graders, so this project is geared towards the upper grades (10-12). It can be modified for use in lower grades.
