I don’t know about you guys, but trying to keep up with displaying my learning targets/standards is killing me! I have bought several different packs to make it easier, but it just isn’t.

So, I decided that I would make some fun, blank cards that I can use to write the learning targets each day. I felt like I was going crazy with trying to keep organized. I laminated these on tag board and wrote on them with a dry erase marker. Then, I just slapped a magnet strip to the back and VOILA! Ready to roll!

Sometimes it is hard to get dry erase marks off of lamination, so I think I am going to use page protectors and hang my next batch up with Command Hooks. (Man, I LOVE these things! I hope these posters help keep you sane. I think they are going to save my life!

Included in the pack are 4 different headers and blank posters for the holidays.
I have also included words that are not on a sign in case you would like to use them on a bulletin board in another way.

Thanks so much!

Hilary Lewis

The learning targets can be used for any grade since you just write on them with a dry erase marker. I do have editable versions for math and for general subjects that can be used for any grade as well. Here's the link to all of my learning targets.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks so much!

This isn't a question, but I've had the same struggle using dry erase markers on laminated surfaces. I finally cut paper and taped it to surface and change it when needed. I still love the borders, but don't have all that hard rubbing. I know it does defeat the purpose of reusable surfaces, though.

Thanks for your cute items!

You know, if you use a thick laminate, it works much better. I found a personal laminator at Costco for under $20. I also use heavy duty plastic page protectors...they work pretty well too. Hope you like them!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 25 years. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade...then began to loop with 2nd and 3rd graders. I absolutely loved looping! It was so exciting to watch the growth in those little buggers over a two year period....and talk about getting attached! Those little people, their families and I became very close. We stopped looping a few years ago when we changed principals. I'm trying to talk my new principal into letting me team teach with a friend....we just want to knock out one of the walls!
