This item is a great project to do before a holiday break. I use it in my classroom if I finish a lesson just before a break, so I don't have to start something new. It could be used with Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, or any holiday. I traditionally use it at Thanksgiving, but it could be easily adapted to other holidays.
The students will work with a partner to plan a meal. This involves guests, the meal, and the cost of the meal. Students also have to convert recipes to accommodate the number of guests invited. The recipes and prices are located online. The final product is a PowerPoint presentation. A rubric is included for grading.
If you have any questions, please email me: jen22577@yahoo.com. I will be happy to answer any questions. If you purchase and are able to use this in your classroom, please come back and leave feedback. I would also appreciate any comments or suggestions! Thanks for looking!

I have taught for eleven years in a variety of grade levels and socio-economic levels. I have enjoyed all grade levels that I have taught, and am enjoying my current work in Junior High! I have a B.S.I.S. from Midwestern State University and a Master's in Technology Integration from Nova Southeastern University. I have also worked as a Campus Technology Integration Facilitator, and have presented at local and regional conferences. I enjoy working with peers and students! They both provide new sets of challenges.
