Travel near and far to see a glimpse of Holidays Around the World. This is a great way to integrate the Christmas theme into your curriculum! There are 12 countries to learn about and a craftivity {or two} for each country. This unit ties in literacy, social studies, and even a little math.
The countries your kiddos will be learning about are:
Part I
*The Netherlands
*Israel
*Germany
*Mexico
*Australia
*Italy
*England
*America or Canada
Part II
*France
*Greenland
*Sweden {St. Lucia Day}
*America {Kwanzaa}
*America or Canada {Christmas}
PLEASE NOTE: America {Christmas} is included in BOTH Holidays Around the World Part I and Part II, but the crafts/activities are different.
This packet made all of my holiday wishes come true! Rachelle really outdid herself with this one!

I cannot print this document. I hope you can help right away! I am on a macbook. Thank you.
I'm sorry! That's really weird. Do you have the most updated version of ADOBE? If it still doesn't print, TpT Technical Support will be able to help you:

It is a zipped file. Are you on a PC or a MAC? TpT customer support can help you if you are unfamiliar with unzipping files. They are great. If you scroll all the way down and click "contact us", they can help. Let me know if you need anything else and thanks for your purchase! :)

I purchased Rachelle Smith's Holidays Around the World. I want to add two countries but use the same template that you used for the student pages-China and Philippines. I have tried to download Adobe on my computer and was unable to do so. Is there anyway you could send a page to my email address so I can make changes for the two countries I want to add?
Hi there. Due to copyright and the terms of use for the clipart/fonts, I cannot send you a template. But, can you email me and maybe I can help? Whattheteacherwants@gmail.com

Does this set include a passport and stamps? Thank you!
No, but you can find a passport template for free on my blog!

Hey Rachelle! So sorry to bother you again, but I was able to print the other pages. I have updated Adobe! The page that I was really wanting was America for the scrapbook! (page 11)
I bought this and am not able to print page 11-12 of part 1. I wanted to use these for the scrapbook. Please email me with these pages? Thanks so much! Love it!
Hi there! I'm not sure what is wrong. It's probably the fact that you don't have the most updated version of adobe. Try that and then let me know.

My students will be creating a PowerPoint. If I purchase this are there clip art pictures or photos that they can use in their PowerPoint? Or do any of the listed websites have pictures? The students will ,of course, be creating a bibliography that gives credit where credit is due!
Hi there. I'm sorry, but your students will be unable to use the clipart in their Powerpoints because it would be against the terms of use of the clipart artists. Sorry!

About how long does it take you to do this unit? 2-3 weeks? Do you learn about a new country each day or every two days? I realize it can be different for each class but I'm wondering how long you spend and what grade level you are doing it with. Thanks!
Hi there! I do it for 2 weeks. I only pick 8 or 9 countries to do each year. I spend about 40-45 minutes on each country! Hope this helps!

Hi Rachelle, Love the unit!!! But I am having so much trouble printing it. It keeps telling me that I have insufficient memory. Is this because I am trying to print it at school? Michele
Hi Michele,
It might be that you don't have enough memory on your school computer, but I don't think that's really the problem! Contact TpT Tech Support and I know they can help! Let me know if you need anything else. Here's the link:
If you just drag them onto the desktop, they will be saved to your computer. They are also available in your "my purchases" forever. Hope this helps!

I'm so sorry about that! I'm not sure what is wrong. I know that TpT Technical support will be able to help you! Here's the link:

Would you say that you can spend about 45 minutes a day on each country? I am trying to plan my unit and I want to make sure that I have enough time....I teach first grade. Thanks!
Is the only information the fill in the blanks.I need facts about each holiday and I'm not sure the fill in the blanks is enough meat for the project...
Each country/tradition has an information page that gives you book lists and websites for that country. The answers for the fill in the blanks are all pretty self explanatory after you read/learn about each country/tradition from the websites or book list. If you're still having trouble, let me know!
