TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I attended Georgia College and State University where I earned my BS degree in Early Childhood Education. Upon completing my undergraduate degree I married a handsome man in the military and moved to New Orleans, LA. I taught first grade just outside of New Orleans and absolutely LOVED it! After a year of teaching, we were transferred to San Diego, CA. I am now a Montessori teacher. I am currently working on my graduate degree in teaching with a concentration in Reading. While working on my undergraduate degree I worked as a substitute teacher in grades Pre-K through 5. During my junior and senior year of college I completed observations and student teaching in a Pre-K Head Start Program, 3rd grade inclusion class, 5th grade class and a 1st grade class at a Magnet School geared in Science and Math. My senior year I completed a full year of student teaching in 1st grade at a Science/Math Magnet School completely taking over lessons and units throughout the year, conducting assessments, parent conferences, etc.
