Homophones to Remember PowerPoint. 36 animated slides of homophones and example sentences to show meaning. Fun graphics and sounds will engage students. Homophones are words that sound alike but are spelled differently and mean different things. Often confused, and often found on standardized tests, they should be memorized. These words and sentences are appropriate for almost any age.

I have a total of 21 years teaching experience. After I received my M.Ed. from the University of Florida, I began teaching in elementary school, where I taught pull-out remedial classes for grades 2-5 and a section of K-1. Then I taught Pre-K for 5 years, before I decided to go up to Middle School, where I have been in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I am currently teaching 7th grade where I seem to have found my niche. I am certified in Elementary Education as well as in Middle Grades in the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I am also certified as a Teacher Support Specialist. I have an endorsement as a Reading Specialist K-12, and I also completed my Gifted and Talented Endorsement.
