Ever want to peek into children's minds and/or expand their thinking of numbers? This is a list of 28 ways one person visualizes the number ten with an invitation for students to explore and expand their numerical thought processes! It's great as a mini-lesson, small or whole group activity, and even a fun homework assignment. Created in list format in MS WORD, this is an idea starter meant to encourage concrete thinkers to become abstract thinkers by linking numbers to real life situations. Created by Rhonda Jewell ;)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

I've taught 4th grade (all subjects) for nine years and sixth grade (English Language Arts) for two years as well as 3rd and 5th grade summer school for five years. As of the end of the 2010-2011 school year, I have a total of ten years teaching experience. The age group and content I teach are both VERY exciting as they provide me personal and professional growth opportunities while building relationships. Rewarding.
