This is a book students will complete by placing a coin(s) beneath the page and then using a crayon to rub the coin(s) to show the amount of money on each page. The sentences on each page are simple in form. There are two sentences on each page. The first says, for example, "I have two cents." The next sentence says, "I have 2(cent sign)." Students can use different coin combinations to show the amount of money for larger amounts. It goes through ten cents. It would also be a good assessment to use. An alternate way to use the book instead fo rubbing coins is to allow students to draw the coins or a circle with the letter the coin begins with inside the circle.
