Thank you for sharing this writing activity. My class enjoyed making themselves blowing a bubble. They especially loved that I gave them a piece of gum and try to blow a real bubble.

Oh my gosh! I forgot how much sugar is in bubble gum! I decided to do the activity along with my students and it brought back many memories. We had such a great time completing this project. We laughed and giggled and tried and tried to blow a bubble. I was surprised at how few children could actually blow a bubble. I have great pictures of my kids trying. The writing activity was perfect for our Step Up To Writing program my district decided to use this year. I have it all up on a bulletin board for Open House which is 5 days before the last day of school. YIKES! Thank you for a great activity!

I was able to do this with my first graders. Their how to papers weren't very elaborate but they loved that they were able to chew gum in the classroom to do their paper. :) Great!
