Do you teach New York State history or geography? Do you teach about the explorer, Henry Hudson? If you do, this slide show of pictures (mostly from my own travels) will help your students visualize what the river looks like and how dramatically it changes from the mouth to the source of the river. I use this slide show as an introduction to NYS geography, as well as again when we learn about Henry Hudson. I want my students, most of whom have never seen it, to be able to visualize what the river looks like. This is the perfect vehicle for that! (It's even better projected on a Smart Board!)
These are great pictures. What a wonderful way to show kids how the Hudson River changes from its beginning to its end. This will be very helpful and well-used in our classroom! Thank you!
