Instead of asking my students to do a worksheet over hyperbole, alliteration, idioms, and rhymes, I asked them to do a mini-project. This project involves the students getting into groups of 4 and assuming the roles of Hyperbole, Alliteration, Idiom, and Rhyme. Each group is responsible for creating a short skit using these f characters. The catch? Each character's name dictates how that character can speak! For instance, Hyperbole can only speak in hyperboles, and Alliteration can only speak in alliteration. Students can write about whichever topic they wish, so long as they stay within the guidelines.

This product is 2 pages long and contains a complete set of instructions for the students and a rubric for grading purposes.
