I had so much fun making this product for my own classroom! I am very thrilled that this unit comes with Science Investigation Mats that will help children learn to set up their own investigations independently. Research indicates that children need repeated experiences in order to further their understandings in the concepts you introduce and teach them. This unit definitely promotes hands-on, inquiry based instruction that is developmentally appropriate for a young budding scientist. Materials used in the unit are from common household materials that are safe for children to investigate and explore with and easy to find. This unit includes:

I have taught Kindergarten for 12 years. Originally, I went to school to be a Science teacher. I had always worked with young children in some capacity and thought a change would be good. As I worked my way through school, I had several odd jobs. One job required me to go to a Kindergarten Conference. I didn't want to go at all! Interestingly enough, on day one of the conference I met Clifford the Big Red dog. It reminded me of the Clifford my dad gave me when I was four. And you can pretty much say the rest is history. I graduated with a degree in Science and took my first job as a Kindergarten teacher and I have never looked back since.
