A wonderful part of Debbie Diller's Work Station concept is to create "I can" lists with your students. These charts list acceptable activities for each work station and provide the children with a sense of ownership because they have taken part in the creation of the list. This document has six pages, each one set up for a different work station. Use these to brainstorm potential activities and then post them in your work stations. This Word document is easy to modify and adapt to your own needs.

I have been teaching for 17 years at the same school in Mandeville, Louisiana. I taught 1st grade for six years and have taught 2nd grade for eleven years.
