This fun and engaging Science review game accompanies “I Have, Who Has: 3rd Grade Science.” This is an exciting game to play to help reinforce content area vocabulary. It is a cumulative review of the entire year and is based on 3rd grade VA Standards of Learning. What a fun way to review material covered throughout the year to help prepare students for the SOL assessment. This game includes game directions, 25 game cards, and an answer key.
Terms covered are: hours & minutes, community, gallons, soil, hypothesis, weathering, screw, humus, lever, subsoil & bedrock, liquid, sunlight, water, & wind, instinct, renewable resources, hibernation, fossil fuel, mimicry, the pattern of day & night, carnivore, tides, consumer, sun, aquatic environments, seasonal changes, and terrestrial environments. My third graders loved playing this game!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching ESL at the elementary level since 2005. I love teaching ELL students and am always impressed by them. Not only are they learning English, but they are learning ALL of the content that their native English speaking classmates are learning. When I create materials for my students I always think to myself, "am I making this comprehensible?" Whether a student is a beginner or advanced, they all have to learn the same content and it's my job to present it in a way that makes sense. I love my job!
