The ability to read sight words is an important part of learning to read and is included in Common Core standards beginning in Kindergarten. "I Have, Who Has" is an easy to use game that can review almost any skill. Monster Sight Words does just that-reviews 25 of the first sight words taught.
The teacher simply prints, laminates, and cuts the cards then passes the cards out to students. Students must listen and concentrate as the cards are read. Once a child hears the first word on his card, he is able to read his card aloud. This set is perfect for advanced PreK students , Kindergarten students, or beginning first graders. My kids LOVE "I Have, Who Has."
Great way to learn words. I just rated your free download. Please checked out my free product and rate at well. Thank You

These are terrific! I too would like a editable version too. Please send to clara.lee@cogeco.ca. Thank you so much! I love this website. I've added you to my follow list! Thank you!!
I would love to know how people create these wonderful things on teacher pay teachers. I love your idea. I have taught first grade for 24 years. We have 168 sight words to learn and this would be a great way to learn all of them. I would be willing to send you the list and even pay you if you were to create them. Would you be interested? Or would you be willing to email me some directions on even how to get started creating these things myself?
Hi, Ronette!
I'm so happy you like this set! I have an editable version I'd love to send you. Leave your email, and I'll send it. I'll also give you a brief version of how I create products. Thank you for your comments!

Hi Laura,
I love your cards but I too need to be able to change the words for a higher grade. I think this would be great to use as an end of the day, leaving the class routine. Thanks for the free share . . these are great for us teachers who don't have a classroom budget for purchasing these kinds of things!

These monsters are so cute! I would also be interested in an editable copy - or a blank copy so I can write my own words.

I am having difficulty downloading this file (I have... Monster sight words) and your teacher appreciation freebie. Please advise, they look great and I'd love to have them. The link says bad gateway.
I'm so sorry you are having trouble. I downloaded both to make sure there was not a link issue. Are you on a MAC and do you have the latest version of Adobe? I would try that first. You can find the latest version free, just google Adobe. Let me know if that does not work.
I have been teaching for 22 years! The majority of that time has been in First and Second Grades! I love teaching and can't imagine doing anything else!!
