This activity meets Common Core Standards:
CC.K.RF.3.c Read common high-frequency words by sight.
CC.1.RF.3.g Recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words.
It is a fun sight word activity tiered so that you can meet your students right at their readiness level. Students use magnifying glasses to find the hidden sight words in each picture. When they have found 20 unduplicated words, they read them to a friend or their teacher. As your students' word recognition, so can you adjust the level of sight words they search for in each picture.
